It was a beautiful summer day when I had a chance encounter with my husband, Sanjay. I had just moved to Pune city to pursue my higher education and was exploring my new neighbourhood when I stumbled upon a quaint coffee shop. As I walked in, I noticed that the coffee shop had a cosy ambience with soothing music playing in the background. The shop was less crowded.
I ordered my coffee and sat down at a nearby table. As I sipped my drink and looked around, Sanjay caught my eye. He was sitting at a table in the corner, typing away on his laptop, too engrossed in his work. Suddenly all of a sudden there was a loud noise. A waiter passing by me dropped the tray with coffee mugs. Sanjay looked at me as if asking me if I was hurt or not. He smiled at me, and I found myself smiling back. The smile was so endearing and charming that I could not help but feel drawn to him.
After a few minutes, Sanjay got up and walked over to my table. “Hi there,” he said. “I couldn’t help but notice you sitting here. Mind if I join you?”
I nodded, feeling a little nervous but excited at the same time. We started talking, and I sensed a connection with him. He was nice, witty, clever, and attractive, and we seemed to have a lot in common.
As we talked, I couldn’t help but feel like I had known him for years. We laughed and joked, and the conversation flowed easily. Before I knew it, several hours had passed, and we were the only ones left in the coffee shop.
The shop owner came to our table and said that it was time for him to close the shop. As we said goodbye to each other, Sanjay asked if he could see me again. I said yes, and we exchanged phone numbers. From that moment on, we were inseparable.
We went on our first official date a few days later, and it was like something out of a movie. Sanjay took me to a fancy restaurant, and we enjoyed a delicious meal while chatting and getting to know each other better.
After dinner, we went for a walk in the park, and Sanjay surprised me by pulling out a guitar and serenading me with a song he had written just for me. I was blown away by his talent and his thoughtfulness, and I knew then and there that he was someone special that God had sent for me.
As the weeks turned into months, Sanjay and I grew closer and closer. We went on adventures together, tried new things, and fell more in love with each other every day.
And then, one day, Sanjay surprised me again. We were walking along the beach, hand in hand, when he suddenly got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.
“Will you marry me?” he asked, his eyes shining with love and excitement.
I was stunned, and tears welled up in my eyes. “Yes,” I whispered, throwing my arms around him.
We were married a year later, surrounded by our closest friends and family. As we exchanged vows, I couldn’t help but think back to that day in the coffee shop – the day I had a chance encounter with Sanjay that changed my life forever.
Sanjay and I have been together for over a decade now, and our love has only grown stronger with time. We have had our ups and downs, of course, but we have always been there for each other through thick and thin.
Looking back, I realize how lucky I was to meet Sanjay that day. It was as if fate had brought us together, and I will always be grateful for that chance encounter in the coffee shop.
