Whenever curious students learn a subject passionately and wholeheartedly, they would have doubts. And they will look for someone to whom they can ask their questions. That is exactly when a teacher assumes his role. My passion lies in tutoring as well as mentoring children who want to learn English, teaching them the language and resolving doubts when they arise. I worked for a brief stint as an online tutor of Spoken English on the teaching platform named as Urban Pro.
I had been provided with the necessary and sufficient education that was meant to make me capable of teaching. I had taken my master’s degree in English from M.G. University in Kottayam, a place in Kerala. I had taken my bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the aforementioned university. I was able to secure reasonably good marks in exams at higher secondary level and matriculate level of education.
As an inseparable part of college education, I had to write a few theses. As part of my postgraduate studies, I had written a dissertation based on Aravind Adiga’s famous novel The White Tiger. Before graduation, I had written a thesis titled Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four. I had contributed a few poetic pieces to a magazine at college.
Besides writing, I got the opportunity to teach students at a lower primary school. This was part of an internship at college.
Like my students, I am curious to know more and more about my unknown world. Language and Literature, along with History, remain my favourite subjects. I like to read books and am fond of literary masterpieces. Other than reading, gardening and playing music on a piano occupy my spare time.
