I work as a freelance content writer. I retired on Nov 19 as the Head of New Product Development & Quality systems. Long experience in the said field has enabled me to get both manufacturer's voice & customer voice. Knowledge of this interface has helped me to write better content.
In the initial period of my career: I worked for 15 years in the field of core manufacturing. My responsibilities included bringing down the manufacturing cost by achieving high productivity with tools like VSM, MOST & cost reduction with tools like TPM.
After gaining experience from the production & shop floor, I was entrusted with the responsibility of Process Engineering & New Products Development, Since 2012 & I worked as Head NPD. I have experience in following the complete 'Advanced product quality planning’ process. My credentials are obtaining 8 new customers for the new products of import substitution. New business revenue was achieved at an average of 17% against the target of 12%. This has helped companies to achieve the sales turnover during the slowdown with profitability targets.
I was also given responsibility for Head Quality in 2015 in the same company. This has further improved my understanding to capture customer voice. My credentials in this field are reducing customer concerns & customer PPM. I achieved a customer PPM of 1080 against the target of 1400. I was instrumental in getting the IATF quality certification in Sep18.
I single-handedly developed technically challenging products to expand the current product base & resolved technical issues.
I am a graduate Mechanical Engineer with a post-graduate diploma in Marketing management. I am also an American Society for Quality certified six sigma Blackbelt. I have experience in implementing tools like Six Sigma, TQM, TPM.
